NOS Energy Drink Review

Well it turns out every once in a while you need a little boost before a workout. I know everyone can relate. After a long day of work who wants to go workout with no energy? Well if you don’t have enough energy from your previous meal there is always the energy drink option which is why I decided to write this NOS energy drink review. Most people have tried the more popular energy drinks like Red Bull and Monster. I have to admit they do taste pretty good but they do not offer a long lasting punch that will get me through my workout. I decided to try something new. This is my NOS energy drink review.

NOS Energy Drink Review - Flavor
First off as I previously stated I wrote this NOS energy drink review because the more popular drinks like Red Bull and Monster tasted good, they never seemed to get me through my workout. As far as I can tell NOS energy drinks come in one flavor to date, which is sort of passion fruit with a bit of tang added. The result is different than the average energy drink as NOS comes off more on the sweeter side. Not the best tasting energy drink out there but it was actually quite pleasant to have an energy drink that did not taste like all the rest. Besides the real measurement of a energy drink comes from the punch it packs.

NOS Energy Drink Review – Punch?
As I stated earlier energy drinks are useful to me when I have had a long day, or I do not have enough energy left over from my previous meal to get in a good workout. Let me tell you that NOS does the same for humans as it does for cars. The first NOS energy drink I had was the regular kind (with sugar). This gave me more than enough energy to get in a hard lower body workout. In fact it packed more of a punch than I needed as it made me cramp up at the end of my workout. This just means I was not hydrated enough or it was too much sugar for my body to handle. Not wanting to give up on NOS energy drinks I decided to try the 16 oz sugar free version that only has 20 calories. It was perfect. It tasted better than the original because it was not as sweet (less sugar) and it still packed a big punch that helped me finish my workout.

NOS Energy Drink Review – Overall Value
I would give this energy drink four out of five. I liked the fact that it packed a punch. I also liked that it came in sugar free since I tend to cramp up when I consume too much sugar. I didn’t like the fact that they only had one flavor. Although it was not a bad taste, the regular (sugar added) drink was way too sweet for my taste. The sugar free was not as sweet but it would be nice to have at least one more flavor to try. The only other thing I did not like was that it came in 16 ounces. This could be why it packed such a punch, but I would recommend drinking it at least a half hour to an hour before working out, other wise you will feel full. There will still be enough energy left over for you to make it through your workout even if you drink it an hour before.
